Why Sitters On Call Was Created

At Sitters On Call, we know that leaving your pets behind can be the hardest part of travelling. Whether you're away for work, on holiday, or simply have a long day ahead, you deserve the confidence of knowing your pets are safe, comfortable, and receiving the same love and attention they enjoy every day.

That's exactly why Sitters On Call was created.

Founded by a proud pet dad with more than 30 years of hands on experience caring for animals, Sitters On Call was born from a very personal challenge. Like many busy professionals, our founder often needed to travel at short notice and discovered just how difficult it was to find someone who was genuinely trustworthy, experienced, and willing to care for pets in the comfort of their own home.

Rather than settling for kennels or impersonal pet care, a better solution was created. Today, Sitters On Call provides personalised in home pet sitting that keeps pets where they are happiest, in the comfort, security, and familiarity of their own home.

Over the years, our founder has cared for dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, goats, and a variety of farm animals, including pets requiring specialised care.

From energetic puppies and curious kittens to senior pets, animals living with disabilities, diabetes, anxiety, or those requiring prescribed medication, every pet is treated with patience, compassion, and respect for their unique routine.

Animal welfare has always been close to our hearts. Through ongoing support of the SPCA and involvement in animal rescue, caring for animals has never been a business decision. It's simply who we are.

We're also proud pet parents ourselves. Our founder shares life with seven much-loved four-legged family members who are, without question, spoiled every single day.
